Oliver and I had a great time while Daddy was at work yesterday. It is HOT up here- the car told me it was 19 degrees celcius (I know it's at least five degrees warmer down South...!) but I wore only a tee-shirt and we went down to our local beach. The tide was out and it just looked gorgeous!!
Oliver really enjoys to "step"- I hold his hands and he does VERY wobbly steps, sometimes two or three on one foot before using the other which is lovely. We "stepped" all he way along the sand until we reached the water, and he enjoyed chasing the waves and feeling the sand between his toes.
I can't believe that we live on top of such a gorgeous beach, and it was even sunny!!
Ha, look at his lovely podgy feet.

Twiggers in... Abbydeen!
Well, now we are seasoned professionals up here in Aberdeen for almost a week!
Some things we have discovered:
- We seem to have skipped a month! We left Ipswich and it was a fairrrly warm August and all of a sudden it feels like October has hit!
- The rain up here is the WETTEST I have ever experienced! The other day Oliver and I went on an adventure to sign up at the library, and after getting a bit lost (I ended up pushing the buggy through knee-high grass and then saw a sign telling me it was likely to flood, etc) the heavens opened and once I walked the 20 minutes home I literally peeled my clothes off.
- Actually, it just rains a LOT. A couple of days ago we were walking somewhere with the sky a beautifuil blue... and it was still spitting!
- The Scots are lovely!! We were walking to church on Sunday and everybody we walked past or near called out something about the weather (which happened to be sunny then) or the "bairn" (baby)
- Oliver sleeps much worse up here... although I blame that on all his teeth finally trying to come through at once. Sad day (and night!)
Having a super time, and I am enjoying opening all our boxes and discovering things we have but have forgotten about :)

It's a Miracle
... I made it all the way to Aberdeen with Oliver in the back of the car, AND without using the Sat Nav!!!
It took a bit longer than the ten hours that google maps told me because of traffic, but Oliver was so well-behaved, I KNOW it was a miracle. He slept longer than he has done for months, and I only had to stop once on both days.
Alleluia. We have a lovely, lovely house, our boxes are all around and we are all back together again. Hooray! :)
